What is collected

Your email address, if you submit the signup form. That is the only piece of personal information this site asks for. There is no name field, no company field, and nothing is inferred about you.

Standard server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare records requests — IP address, timestamp, browser user-agent — for security and abuse prevention. These logs are handled by Cloudflare under their own privacy terms, and are not read, exported, or combined with anything else.

A count of page openings. When a page loads, it adds one to a tally. What gets stored is a single row per page, per day, per country — the page address, the date, the two-letter country code, and a number. Read the next section before deciding how you feel about that; it is narrower than it sounds.

The page counter, in full

A row in that table looks like this: /support/ · 2026-08-22 · GB · 14. Fourteen people in Britain opened the support page that day. That is the entire record.

What is not stored, and cannot be reconstructed from it: your IP address, any cookie or identifier, your browser or device, which pages you saw in what order, how long you stayed, or whether you came back. There is no row that corresponds to you. Nobody — including me — can pull your visit back out of it.

The trade-off is honest to state: because nothing marks you, this counts openings, not people. Open a page three times and it counts three. I would rather have a blunt number than an accurate one bought with a tracker.

What is not collected

• No cookies. This site sets none. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything.
• No third-party analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no session recording, no heatmaps, and no analytics company involved at all. The counter above is a few lines of my own code writing to my own database.
• No advertising trackers and no data sold or shared with advertisers.
• No browser storage. Nothing is written to localStorage or sessionStorage.
• No profiles. Nothing on this site attempts to recognise a returning visitor.

This is verifiable — view the page source. The only script on the site handles the signup form, the fade-in on scroll, and the one-line page count.

Who processes your email address

Nobody but me. Addresses are stored in a database on Cloudflare, the same company already hosting this site. As of 22 August 2026 there is no third-party email service in the chain at all — no Kit, no Mailchimp, no processor holding a copy.

There is no confirmation email, because nothing is emailed to you. You enter an address, the file downloads immediately, and that is the end of the transaction. Your address is not subscribed to anything, because there is nothing to be subscribed to yet.

If that changes — if a newsletter or a product announcement ever starts — you will be asked to opt in again, explicitly, before a single message is sent. An address given to get a file is not consent to be emailed, and it will not be treated as one.

Stored alongside the address: the date, which download it was for, the two-letter country code Cloudflare reports, and the browser's user-agent string. That is all. The address is never sold, rented, traded, or shared.

Search Console

This site is verified with Google Search Console using a meta tag. Search Console reports aggregate search performance — which queries showed the site in results — and does not identify individual visitors. It places no code on the page and collects nothing from your browser.

Contacting the site

If you email hello@honestaistack.com, that message is forwarded to a personal inbox and kept as long as needed to reply and keep a record of the conversation.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

• Unsubscribe at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link in the footer. One click, no questions, no retention email.
• Ask what is stored about you. Email the address above and you get an answer.
• Ask for your data to be deleted. Same address. Deletion means the row is removed from the database, not flagged and kept.
• Ask for a correction if the stored address is wrong.

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, these are rights you already hold under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. They are honoured here the same way for everyone, without needing to prove where you live.

How long data is kept

Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. There is no automatic expiry, because the list is small and inactive addresses are not worth anything to anyone.

Children

This site is aimed at working freelancers and small agencies. It is not directed at children, and no data is knowingly collected from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially — for example if analytics are ever added — the date at the top changes and the change is described here rather than quietly swapped in.
